Located on the shores of Lake Biwa and right across the street from where the river flows into the lake, the views from the large room with traditional Japanese elements are breathtaking. the helpful and accommodating staff and the delicious multi, course dinner round off the experience. the on, site onsen is a must, try to relax after exploring.

Some rooms have only partial lake views and face a busy road, which might cause some noise, so room selection should be carefully considered.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxury hotel on the shores of Lake Biwa, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. The location was absolutely stunning, with the hotel situated right in front of the river where the water flows out to the lake. The beautiful scenery made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere during my stay. Additionally, the hotel provided a convenient shuttle service to the center of town, which was incredibly helpful for exploring the area.

All in all, my stay at this place was exceptional. The breathtaking views, the attentive and friendly staff, and the clean and comfortable rooms made for a truly memorable experience.

We loved the hotel's location next to the lake, which added to the beauty of the scenery. The cleanliness of the facilities was also impressive. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating despite any language barrier.

Nothing to complain about at all.

I was worried about arriving late, but the staff at Futabaso were extremely gracious and accommodating. They made me feel very welcome and explained everything thoroughly. The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh fish from the nearby lake. I loved the experience of staying in a traditional Japanese Inn and felt pampered throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and value.

Our Christmas stay at this traditional Japanese hotel was an incredible experience! the rooms were beautifully decorated according to the Japanese style and had a stunning view of the nearby river. the location was convenient and offered easy access to the main attractions in the area. the staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating. One of the best aspects was the delicious Japanese breakfast that was served!

The bathroom could use better ventilation as slight mildew appeared on the grouting. we found that the hotel was better suited for tourists with cars as not many exciting activities were within walking distance.

The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay over New Year's Eve. Pick-up from the local station was a great convenience. The lake views were stunning and the room was equipped with a heated toilet seat for extra comfort. the on-site multi-course dinner was authentic Japanese cuisine and a real highlight of the trip.

Despite the great location and friendly staff, the bathroom had mildew in the grouting and poor ventilation. the noise from the nearby road was quite loud and made it difficult to sleep at night.
